Phillip Morriss' Truth

Truth - the great Nemesis to the cigarette company. The group that laid out body bags at the Corporate offices, or the largest collection of voice box recovery patients that there ever has been. The ads are graphic, in your face, and the dare I say - The truth!

But. what I assume is common knowledge(it is for me), per the lawsuit that was filled on the tobacco companies a few years back, they were forced to tell everyone about the harmful side affects, and a sort of anti-cigarette campaign. This is where TRUTH came from. The big PM, created TRUTH, FILMED TRUTH, owns TRUTH!

This is a business man's wet dream. This is what business people inspire to become. This is the cream of the crop, the A+ #1, goal to shoot for. Phillip Morris is so powerful that they can advertise against themselves and still make a profit. That is the type of business we all want!!

Pennies for peace

Pennies, pennies, pennies, pennies! Pennies for peace was started by Greg Mortensen to help the Karakoram Mountain people, an the villages associated with them. They have no schools, and with a penny they can buy as pencil. Once the pencils are taken care of, the paper, an finally the whole school is built! This charity is produced by the central asia institute, and their misions statement is:

"Pennies for Peace educates children about the world beyond their experience and shows them that they can make a positive impact on a global scale, one penny at a time.

Our best hope for a peaceful and prosperous world lies in the education of all the world’s children. Through cross-cultural understanding and a solution-oriented approach, Pennies for Peace encourages children, ultimately our future leaders, to be active participants in the creation of global peace." - www.penniesforpeace.org

How to Be Kind to More Kind to People
There are many people who would rather hurt you then nod their head good morning. This type of attitude can be changed, and together we can change it. This article is a list of websites that can help us do that.

Kindness has always helped people

Every single day, we have the ability to do something nice for someone. Many of us pass on by without noticing the opportunity that has just passed us by. I've compiled a short list of places where you can strive to be kind to someone or many people in your own way.

Together, we can create a world where kindness is the norm.

http://actsofkindness.org
- The official "Random acts of kindness" website. This site heads the "random Acts of Kindness" campaign. this sit he nonprofit organization that promotes the ability of us all to do a few random things on a daily basis to help others. There is a ton of great things on this site such as: bookmarks, calendars with daily acts of kindness one could do, social networking, it's just a great site.

http://giftsofkindness.org
- In their own words: "GiftofKindness.com is a website and global initiative with one primary purpose... to inspire others to be kind, compassionate and loving to one another... at home, at work, and in every interaction throughout the day. Kindness is love. It is joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Kindness is cultivating the Fruits of the Spirit within us all."

http://zenhabits.net/2008/08/random-acts-of-kindness-a-social-site-id-love-to-see/
- A visionaries view of what a "myspace" or "facebook" like social site could be if someone wanted to create it. I myself do not have the knowledge in witch to do this, but I hope that some one reads this and does.

http://www.creativity-portal.com/kindness/
- A site that is completely about inspiring, be kind, and helping people out. There are thousands of things to do on this site and 100's of opportunities that can be done around the site to help others and help everyone in the world.

http://www.operationkindness.org/about/privacy.php
- It's not always about humans, and Operation kindness shows just that. this is a site dedicated to helping and saving pets who need homes and treatment. Worth a look for any pet lover.

http://www.angelfire.com/hi/TheSeer/kindness.html
- This is a truly revolutionary site in that its entire goal is to promote kindness in every way. In has a huge amount of information to do with kindness and helping people. It also has links to 100's of kindness websites. A great place to start searching for your little niche int he kindness world on the web.

With all the stuff on the web that is available to help up be better people, why aren't we?

Help people, help ourselves

It's a given point that everyone needs our help. From the most rich person in the world who needs a little pick me up, to the poorest person who just needs some food to sustain their life. We all need help, and every one of us can do a little something to help improve our world.

We are all connected, so it makes sense to try to help everyone who come across your path. In an effort to promote this helping attitude and "helpful revolution" as I've come to call it, I have added a new item to this blog.

To the right, you'll notice a little box that flashes ways to lend a helpful hand, or a small thing that everyone can do to encourage, help, and thereby make the lives of other better.

In the same vein of helping people, here are 10 ideas to start helping:

- Help by taking out your neighbors trash when it is trash day.
- Help by putting newspapers that are in driveways on people's porch.
- Help by picking up excess newspapers of people who are on vacation.
- Help by mowing your neighbors lawn.
- Help by mowing anybodies lawn (Especially if you have one of those riding lawn mower)
- Help by buying a hungry person a meal.
- Help by paying for the next person in line at a toll.
- Help by giving a toll collector a lump sum to use to pay for as many people as it will cover.
- Help by paying for someone else's drive-thru order.
- Help by picking up a pencil someone dropped.

Giligan's Island Poetry
There were many oddities off the sitcom, Gilligan's island, and though it might be because of the time period it was being shot at, they are still fun to point out.
