deadly scents on the loose

There is a population that exists among us that is almost not even looked at. In a world full of people that find it necessary to change their normal scent, there are some that look at this craze and fear for their life. The TV commercials are a fright-fest of brain washing, focus group tested, consumer mind control, and a guarantee for what this small, scared, helpless, group of our society will run into on a daily basis.

You need Axe to get a girl. Try body wash, after shave, lotion, shampoo, conditioner with all of your scent.

Bath and body works has tasty scents.

Glade tells you that you need a pump that sprays scents in the air.

Candle companies are telling you that they will help everything.

Then the evil spray companies that they have no connected to you dying, if you don’t use them.

Who?

The people who can not breathe. The people who gasp for breath on a daily basis. Many have no care for this group, because they have done it to themselves, or that is the general belief. 80% of the people with lung problems did not smoke. In fact, most of the pulmonary problems are inherited. Asthma, tuberculosis, lower copd, emphysema, and alph one anti-tripson deficiency disease. Most of my family had this last disease, Alpha-one. If they have the most common type they begin weezing around 28. Right around the 30 year mark, the breathing is acting funny. Soon they will be given an inhaler. At 31, they are having a lot of problems, and they have spoken to every doctor about what’s going on. At 38-40, they are on tons of pills. There’s talk of Oxygen, just to help, and they no longer work. Around 45 they are on a very high number of liters per minute, around a 5 or 6, and they are having frequent attacks. Sometime around 48-51 they will die. It’s gruesome, but that’s life.

All of these people have an aversion to scents. It shocks the little grape like structure called alveoli and they stop producing and breathing. Once they start to work again, they’ve loss a lot of muscle and energy to be able to do it to the correct level. They’re in the middle of an attack. Depending on how much scar tissue in the lungs, this can kill the person or drop them for the next day or so. When they shoot the rescue inhaler, they are zapped even more with an inability to breathe. – pretty gruesome!!

This is what happens to each one of these people. Every time there is someone with too much perfume and scents, we are gasping for breath, and wishing they come out of it.

Give and learn Words

The larger your vocabulary, the better your reading comprehension will be. The better you can comprehend what you are reading, the better reader you will become. The better reader you are, the more informed you will be. The more informed you are, the less likely it is that you will blindly follow someone’s ideas, thoughts, or doctrine. Vocabulary is the key to knowledge, information, and understanding the world around you. Isn’t that the goal; to learn and understand the world around us?

Give? The more you give the more you will receive. In fact, a new study by Harvard has found that people who give to charities and others, are 70-80% more likely to receive something from someone who knows they give to others. Some would say it is one person leading the way, while another would say that it is guilt. Whatever you would like to say it is – the fact still remains: Give and more will come to you!

Freerice.com

In this website, the more you learn, the more you give. For every word you learn, you give 1 grain of rice. I know, not a lot. However, if every person in the world learned one word – that would be over a billion grains, or about 20 pounds of rice, for just 1 word. Wow!!

END WORLD HUNGER BY LEARNING WORDS!!

Yes, this charity has been completely looked into, and it is a legitimate charity.

Log on and start learning the words and donating rice to people who need it.

Disco Ball Cake - yes!

When you're throwing a party, and there's going to be cake, might as well go all out! Why not? The cake should be as unbelievable, as the party itself. Besides, it's usually the main event. Take weddings for example. We'd love to say that the dancing, the music, the decorations are what we remember from the reception, but it's not! It's the cake! I still remember to this day the wedding receptions that had a great cake, as for the others - well, there must have been a cake. Here's a few ideas on making a party awesome, just by the Right Cake.

1) A 70's party is not a 70's party without a disco ball cake.
See

http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/259591/chad_herman.html for a complete recipe, or follow the link on the side of this blog.

2) A fabulous fifty birthday party.

Make the "5" and the "O" out of cake, in the person's favorite color.

3) A big loader operator's birthday - yes, an adult.

Bake a chocolate cake, and then cut it into an L shaped fashion. Take a fork and rip up the sides, and buy a little "tonka" loader. Leave the crumbs all over like a work site. Drive the loader over the crumbs and you have tracks, and then push the loader into the cake. Guys are adults, but we never tire of playing with trucks.

4) A luau Party

Find a copy of what the Big Islands of Hawaii look like. Cut 9" rounds into the various shapes of the islands, and put them on blue paper. Add boats and surfers to decorate.

5) An Easter Party

Though many will see this as bad taste - I saw it at an Easter Party and I have to put it in here. Bake a sheet of yellow cake filled with red jelly or red filling. Either place a picture of Jesus on the cake, or cut out and decorate a piece the cake in the image of Jesus. Then, dig in!

Happy partying!!!

What are the Right charities, and not scams.

Many people in a recession or in this pre-depression era are looking for more and more money. This is not a surprise to anyone. Get onto any blog or a website about our world, and you'll see the economy is on everyone's head. It's not that surprising, since money and pay seems to be the big topic of the world. Why money shouldn't be such an important topic of another piece of work on this blog, so we won't get into that right now. If yuou are neading some help, many of these charities will help you, and hopefully get you back on your feet.
However, some people would like to give some money back. When you have very little money, that's especially the time to start giving it away. The more you act the act of giving moeny, the more that will be given to you. It's a truth that has been propegated and used for centuries; and IT WORKS!!!
What are the right charities
Not Scams!!!!!

This is a very good question, and one that I asked myself earlier this month. Here are a few websites that will help you with this decision:

1) The Charrity Guide is both an outside of the net run site, as well as an users comments sites. The site reviews all the charities and it also allowes users to make comments about what happened with their interactions witht he charities. They also list a large number of charities, their purpose, links to the these charities, as well as a blurb as to what they have done in the past. Because remeber, as the site states: "Not all charities are managed well. Charity ratings from Charity Watchdog groups can help you tell the difference between good charities and bad charities." In this essesnce, they will also allow you to donate from their site.
Strongly recomended!!!!

http://www.charityguide/

This is an article that is listed on MSN.com about the charirties that are out there, and what donating to a charity can do for you. This is a money centralized article. The main point of the article is to make sure you aren't throwing your money away by donating to the wrong charity. With those items said, this site has a nice comprehensive list of "good" charities.
Worth a look.

http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/Savinganddebt/consumeractionguide/P58021.asp

3) The charity Navigator bills themselves as "America's premier independent charity evaluator". The Charity navigator looks intot he business aspects of the charity. They will list how much was given to specific locations and activities. This tool allows you to know exactly whewre your money is going, and will tell you where your money will be most useful.
Good look at many charities!
<>

4) Good Charities allowes you to link to other charities, as well as many other links. It also allowes you to read a blurb about many of the things that the charities do. A gfood tool, and a nice site to use to check the other sites.
Check it out, definetly!

In the end, always remeber - Charities are to help others! What do you think?

Ghandi Death - Good or Bad part II

Part II

Gandhiji, or what has become spelled as Ghandi, was a lawyer who decided there was something that needed to be done in the miuddle of the violence that was ghoing on in his country. In the process, Gandhiji( Ghandi) has taught us how to think, view the world , and believe in the fact that one person can change the world. In his Thoreau based nonviolence, praying, and speaking protest towards the things that he saw were wrong. Many say it was his opinion he was forcing on others: This is a valid argument, but Gandhiji only stated that he thought we should treat ourselves better.

Here are a few of Gandhiji (ghandi) quotes as an example of his teachings (so you can decide):

"Be the change you hope to see in the world"

"A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes. "

A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.

"
Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well. "

"A man who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies, and became the ransom of the world. It was a perfect act. " - Ghandi's view of himself. As if this was merely what he knew he was suppose to do, and he knew he would end just as he did. And that was ok!

The man who killed Ghandi walked up to him in the street. He bowed to him as if seeking advice, and shot him three times. What a full act of Betrayl many have yelled. He was and is nationally mourned. Many have been appalled of this - but I say

It wasn't a bad thing!

This man bowed to him in respect. Ghandi saw this and very well might have seen the gun as well, but the man was put in front of Ghandi for the one purpose he was on this planet for. He released the most powerful force and tool that Ghandi had left in his arsenal. Per Ghandi's belief, Ghandi's advanced and evolved soul was finally allowed to grow and add itself into the vast currents that connect us all. By his passing, it has awakened many many lines of energy to turn toward the positive. Since his death, his vision, his dreams, his thoughts, and his way of life has become a model of peace and humanity. Ghandi's soul and energy still guide us into a future filled and signified by goodness and acceptance.

What do you think? Am I completely off base?

Gandhiji's death - Good or Bad part I (interconnected)

Gandhiji helped get the Sikhs and the Muslims to sign a peace pact; since they were both refugees in India. After a 7 day long fast at 78 years old, constant public prayer meetings, and constantly asking for the fighting to stop; the two groups came toa n agreement.

Many saw Gandhiji as a Muslim sympathizer. They tried to kill him a number of times. Gandhiji's comment toward a bomb that was thrown into the prayer tent, and out the other side, was that "Death is our true friend. It is ignorance that makes us suffer." He had also previously stated that "Death very well might allow us to live again." Death to Gandhiji was not the sad time that we westerners make it out to be. Death is a time to allow the spirit out of its mortal cage. Gandhiji stated that the spirit is connected to the energy that connects us all. In addition he was a believer in Transcendetalism.

Transcendetalism is the 19th century belief othat through Nature we get closer to God. Ralph Waldo Emmerson, the first person to write about Transcendetalism Under Emerson's tutelidghe, Henry David Thoreau wrote the so-called "Bible" of Transcendetalism named WALDEN. The other aspect of the belief that Gandhiji understood and enjoyed, was the mere belief that every living creature was innerconnected. Gandhiji demonstrated, modeled, and showed the world that we should care about everyone equally. Additionally, there is the view that we are all connected by am energy that emits and connects all living things.

Easter greetings

Excelent Easter Greeting Card Messages
Various messages to write to a fellow Easter celebrator.
http://www.associatedcontent.comarticle/1542463/excelent_easter_greeting_card_messages.html

The National Anthem

" Oh say can you see by the danwns early light..." so begins our illustrious National Anthem. However, what is it about? It's abouyt realisign that after then end of a war, our flag is still there. Is this the portrayl we want for our country? A song that when everyone listens to they see only the violence and the fact that we are "king of the hill"?

Even the way it was written is ridiculous. Francis Scott Key was drinking at a pub and decided to start beign beligerent to the officers, who were preparing for a large battle during the war of 1812. Francis Scott Key was put into a holding hull of a ship with a prt hole in it to sleep off his drunkeness. Thsi ship was just outside of the harbor where the main battles of the War of 1812 was being fought. Francis Scott Key was awoken from his inhebriated state to cannon fire, and saw through his port hole smoke and fire blazing on shore. As the sun rose, and the smoke cleared oyur flag was still standing.

Francis Scott Key took out a pen and wrote a song to the tune of the last tune he could remember - an English drinking song. So our National Anthem was written by a drunk to the tune of a drinking song in the middle of a battle that effectively did nothing for the country.

This is our national song - when a perfectly good song was sitting there the whole time, and was often sung in celebration of our country: America The Beautiful. A song that describes the great things about our country, and the people who inhabit it.

Instead we decided to honor war, battles, drinking, drunkenness.

What do you think? Which should be our true Anthem?
(Feel free to comment on yahoo answers or cisit my cite at http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/259591/chad_herman.html)

What does F Scott Fitzgerald know?

I often find myself asking this question. F Scot Fitzgerald, the man who was named after Francis Scott Key the writer of our National Anthem. How did he with a few words truly make us all understand that which is the hardest to see. What is that? The meaning, the true meanign of his novel: The Great Gatsby.

The main point in F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic is who is the real person in ourselves?

Fitzgerald knew better than anyone, there's the "real person" nobody sees. This is where all of the fears hide, and we hide this persont he best we can.

Then there's the mask. F. Scott Fitzgerald's "mask" was varied, and changed often. As many of us do on a daily basis. We are a student, parent, sibling, daughter/son, coworker, etc, etc.

We are also what others see us as. As F. Scott Fitzgerald put it, the man we are when the demons are looking jotting on peices of paper. Thsi si the most important person, because this is the person we are judged as, we are seen to be, and we are stereotyped in. In F Scot Fitzgerald's The Great Gastby: Gatsby spent every waking moment developing and redeveloping this person to the point of perfection. Everyoen wanted him and everyone wanted to be him.

What makes him diferent than everyone else is he did this for love, not for his own personal gain!!

So who are you? So are you truly? Is F. Scott Fitzgerald right, we are the person that everyone sees or are we more than that?
