Georgia - 1st in Peanuts TRW here

Georgia - 1st in Peanuts

What does that mean? What could that mean? My speculations ran away with me as they often do, till suddenly there was a plaque. The plaque and the commemorative peanut was to remember Noram Laurie Smith, a writer/a wordsmith who loved the people and the area.

Wait! A writer thought this up? This is great!!!!

This whole monument is a pun! A wordsmith Pun! This monument means that we're all nuts. We're #1 nuts.

That's the goal of life - Be the #1 nut!

Well, Yes Ms. Nora Smith, I will take your advice and becoem the number 1 nut. I, TRW, am not just a nut, I am THE Nut.

I will be the nut other nuts define their shells by. I will take your "Nut theory" and run with it. I will create and be the Nut who all other nuts see as their leader. I will be the nut's leader!!!

Cotton-Yuck!! - TRW

TRW here and We're flying down the road and finally seeing some mountains. Nice after so much flatness and cotton! Augh!! Cotton! It just reminds me of the destruction of people and the destruction of a nation. We were so ready....so there! We had the moment, the prime opportunity. The prime time to create something wonderful. A government and development to create a utopia. A country based on the people's ideas, the people's developed thoughts. Wow!! A government based on the people, for the people, by the people. E pluribus unum - Together as one!! These magical words make my heart thump, and goose bumps grow on my skin.

Can you truly imagine and see what a country like that would be? A country where everyone was equal. A country where everyone helped everyone else. A country where we cared what happened to ever inhabitant, and we were working to one common goal - peace and prosperity. But - it fell apart on day one.

Day one! The continental congress convened and immediately went to constructing what would become a racist, misogynistic, country based on money greed and power of the wealthy. As you can see it hasn't changed much. I suggest you read the transcripts of this nightly destruction of what we could have been. What we profess ourselves to be, yet are only what was developed.

And cotton - Cotton couldn't be sold for enough. The southern group couldn't live in their rich lifestyle, so they needed to not pay for their workers. their "property". And that's where it all begins. Ahhh the echo of 100 years later that still rings true, and still slams into my head when I look at these acreages of mansions:

Live Simply, so other can simply live! - Thoreau

So the cotton - the slaves-the destruction of the dream-the destruction of the nation-and even after the war tore us apart, we still haven't learned. I don't like cotton!

Writer Jackson

TRW - here and ecstatic. Can't believe it! Writer Jackson called me. He was in South Africa giving a talk on the rights and the wrongs of apartheid, but at the same time explaining to all that there is no right or wrong. Just the is and the isn't. What a guy. Well, someone asked him if there is only the is and the isn't, then there is no learning and just a knowing. He explained that that was correct.

Turns out the guy was a record producer from Atlanta, and decided to take him up on that and stated that if that was true - Writer Jackson should be able to fly a plane. So Writer Jackson jhopped into his G4 and flew his to Atlanta. Writer knew I was driving up here, so he called me and The Kid and I met up with him in Atlanta.

He shared a story and maybe we can all learn soemthing from it:

A very intelligent, very intuitive young girl was at her home one day. Her father told her not to do something a few days before that day. So the young girl did exactly what she knew not to do. The father asked her why she had done this wrong thing. The young 9 year old smiled and said, with a thoughtful look, "It's better to ask for forgiveness, then ask for permission." This was a phrase she had heard from her father many times, and seen him use it many times. So what is the father to do? Remember, our children, as well as the people we teach are a product of the things we say and do. Therefore, if they do what we do not wqant them to - do they deserve to be punished?

As for what Writer, I, and The Kid spoke of - It doesn't fuckin matter and you don't need to know.

TRW-Really McDonalds? Really?

McDonalds! McDonalds! McDonalds! McDonalds! McDonalds!

What have you don't now McDonalds? Hamburgers and shakes weren't enough. A square fish, a few cookie cutter pieces of chicken, a rib that you only bring out once or twice a year, and some wilted salads.....that's not enough? Do you really need to pu t your tow into ever market? Do you really need to compete for every nickle and dime out there? Oh mcdonalds, whata re you doing now?

"I like coffee but I'm not a millionaire" - Advertisement on the side of the road for McDonalds.

Not just any McDonals, a McDonalds that has the new, the magical, MCCAfe, Yep! McDonalds is attacking Starbucks. You walk in and there's a lounge like area. High top chairs and tables. A few easy chairs. Plush chairs that you sink into. The paint job is brown and yellow, with a jazzy flair. Yes, you can get a McCapucino, or aMcLatte. They have all sorts of weird sounding names for what you already know and see. But wait - Starbucks did that too.

When they first came out they were pretty run of the mill. A few tables, some good well done coffee, and that's it. Then they changed it all up. They changed the name of the cups. They changed the names of the coffees. The froze them, added things to them, suddenly Starbucks wasn't run of the mill. Suddenly, Starbucks was trendy. But Trendy comes with a proice that McDonalds is fighting.

Internet - WiFI - Starbucks, $4/hr.
Internet - WIFI - McDonalds McCafe - Free.

Ouch!

TRW-Georgia Plumbers

TRW here and I'm looking at a van. I'm not one to promote businesses unless I use them. But there's some times that I just can't help it. WE're running down the peach state and here;s a Van that has me laughing:

Pat the Plumber - If my plumbers don't show up on time smelling good, it's free

"Smelling good"? Is this a problem for GA plumbers? Are there smelly plumbers roaming about out there. Good thing Pat is there to solve the problem. Do his plumbers have to keep cologne on them at all times? What are the requirements of that? I wonder if they must have a specific type of smell? Is there a company wide smell? Peaches maybe?

TRW-End of the wilderness

TRW finally escaped the clutches of the back woods. Thankfully a new trucker arrived from some unknown exit, and pulled out in front of me. I almost hit the guy. Who knows whose fault it was, doesn't really matter. I slammed on my breaks, he put the pedal to the metal and we all survived. The first thing I noticed was the owls on his mud flaps. Of course, those were the only things in the windscreen when I first came across the truck. Who puts owls are their mud flaps? Where do you go about buying owls? I looked all over the truck, the owls don't mean jack. I've driven a bit, and there hasn't been a single thing that I've ever seen where you can buy owls for your mud flaps. I've even searched the web, no owls!

Must be a sign--Wisdom, leadership. Who knows. But, this truck lead me to the promise land or the interstate, yet not the one I wanted to go to. But the one I should go to.

So I followed this truck, unbeknowst to me, he was going to I10, I needed to be on !75. However, I 10 would run into I75, so it's all good. The turn off to I 75 came and out of the corner of my eye, it went. I was so busy pondering the owls and having The Kid looking form the owls on the computer, that I didn't realize this truck was going somewhere else. So we slipped onto I 10, and I came to find out, I 10 zipped us past some more construction and detours on !75, as well as a little short cut.

Geogia, here we come. The land of the Peaches.

Thank-you Owls and the mysterious Owl trucker

I'm thankfull....

Ok...TRW wants me to start a thankful thing? After reading his post, I'm not sure how to go about doing this. So, I'll just start:

I'm thankful for every person who is reading this blog and thinking that what I put on it is worth something.

I'm thankful that I can wake up each morning and all my organs keep working.

I'm thankful that I can get paid to write, and that people enjoy my writing.

So, everyday I'm going to come up with something I'm thankful for about me. If you'd like to share yours and have them posted on this blog....please send them to chadrherman@yahoo.com.

Celebrate you! - TRW

We followed the weird outskirts of reality, dotted with glimpses of modernism such as a bank and a town store. Passed a road that advertised itself. The road was named "glen rd" and evidently there was a large celbration called the "glenn rd celebration". Where do you have to be in order to celebrate yourself.

Maybe we should taker a hint from this sign. Maybe, in fact, this is the reason for this whole situation. To calm us down from the speed of the interstate, and have us look int o ourselves and wonder why we aren't more like this road. It could be I have no idea what I'm talking about, and the "celebration has more to do with some historic event in the name of that road, or maybe it's just a small town's (I take that back - small area{community-if you will} ) way of figuiring out a way to cvelebrate something. The beauty of the introspective thought is that whatever things spark the thoughts that create the ideas that cause you to think about your life or yourself, it doersn't matter if that's what their there for, it only matters that they have.

So maybe we should begin to celebrate ourselves. Celebrate....Us, or me, or you...depending on how you want to weild the pronoun. So everyday, wake up....and be thankful about something about you. Try it, you'll be amazed how hard it is to be thankful about you. In fact, I think Chad is going to start doing that. Yes, that will begin to be part of his BLOG, or he'll have problems with me. ha ha ha

Note - Chad...read and start!

Still driving in nowhere-TRW

Still driving through this crazy place, still folloowing the naked girl sillihoutee on the mud flaps of the truck and wondering if there was an actual model fort those.

TRW here.....asking why me? Because I'm suppose to learn something. The Kid is laughing at these sites. He's never seen this stuff. I point it out, and The Kid gawks...and I don't blame him.

Rustic stick fences, made out of the trees that were cut down so they could make the fence and have acres of weeds. Somewhere there's a good reason there, but I doubt it. Acres upon acres of land on both sides of this 2 lane road, and I'm still driving in the opposite way of the highway. The land is dotted by a house or a shack here and there or a little toe head running about.

So I drive with my knee and write these words. Dangerous? It depends I suppose. I can drive perfect with my knees. If you can't then don't do it!

Kickin it in cracker toe head central, that's right I'm down with the FL whitey clan (for now).

Off the beaten path-TRW

TRW here.......We left at 6am, and now it's 9am. We were flying through Fl cow and horse country when suddenly bam!!! Traffic. It sucks when you have to go from 95 to 10mph. Wtf mate?

Now, suddenly, I275 is closed. That's damn convenient! 4 lanes of free flowing, fast moving traffic suddenly has to come to a screeching halt with in 1 mile. If that's not bad enough, we have to merge into 1 lane. Then they tell us to get the hell off of the highway. I guess that's fine and dandy for all of the gps yuppies, but me? Well, I'll just follow the big trucks, they usally know where they're going even if it is in the direct oposite of where the highway is, who am I to judge right? if ti wasn't meant to be, it wouldn't happen.

So I drive through a cemetery of old road side fruit stands, dilapidated old tin roofed cracker houses that people are still struggling to live in, and mail boxes on the side of the road that don't seem to belong to houses. i wonder if there were houses for these mailboxes at one time, or if they just started putting up mailboxes in hopes people would move there? Cow breeders, horse breeders; this is where the future rodeo animals come from, and I question the sign: "Watermelon Park" Is that a city? Is it a road? Is it a town? Which one? I guess they just added the sign, and the locales know what ti is and that's all that counts.

Signing off....somewhere around this watermelon park, and have no want to spit the seeds out.

Comics - Learning devices

Comics are often seen as ridiculous and stupid by adults. I guess back in the day, they were pretty brain numbing. The comic books of today actually delve into important social issues and ideas. Here are a few articles on comics of all sorts.

Peanuts are in a classification of their own. the learning that can take place in them, is phenomenal! I suggest anyone pick up a small book of Peanuts. If you have learned or taken away something, I would be greatly surprised.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2016256/peanuts_history_textbook.html

- Yes, You read this right. This is an article as to how Peanuts can be a historical textbook. Yes, it is possible. Why wouldn't it be? The Peanuts were written in the middle of the time that they were speaking and making commentary on. Whenever an author is writing about the time he is in, you get an insight you don't get from the historians. This is what the Peanuts comics are doing.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2016094/fantagraphics_printing_complete_peanuts.html

- That's right! All 50 years of peanuts are being reprinted. How cool!!

The following links are articles on how to begin collecting and taking care of your comic books. If you're interested in beginning the collection, or you're interested in comic books - these articles are for you.

TRW on Dunkin' Donuts

Damn dunkin Donuts! That's right, I said it!

I fuckin TRW said it - DAMN Fuckin Dunkin Donuts!!

You don't keep America running, you keep America misspelling Donut.

Is it really that hard? Is it really that hard to spell the word? The morning creation has been around a little longer than you guys you know? you didn't invent the damn thing. In fact you haven't even changed or perfected anything. You've merely copied what great icons of America such as Winchels and Krispy Kreme have done. The only thing they have done is added some "different" coffee. OOOOOhhhhhhhh!

So we should be ok with that and let them tell the youth of America that the correct way to spell a pastry that is made with "dough" and was the "nut" of the other pastries, or the left over parts which is why it is called a Doughnut. But, that damn place either couldn't get the rights or their wanted to be clever and said we'll call them donuts. Then they slanged out the first part to "dunkin' " That entire name is so improper, I want to take an axe to it every time I see it!!!

Damn Dunking Doughnuts!!
It is and has been my goal to provide you with the most information that I can. What information will help you the most? Well, that's for you to decide. Here are a few articles that I can't see why they wouldn't help you. They are comments, ideas, and thoughts on various things that are going on right now. Please click on these links, or "paste" them into your addrewss bar and enjoy them.

If you have any thoughts or comments of stuff you'd liek to see please let me know at chadrherman@yahoo.com.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2015768/the_new_gi_joe_toys_compared_to_the.html
- I'm old enough to know the difference between old GI Joe, and new GI Joe. I remember when GI Joe first came out. I remember when GI Joe was a new novelty. Now there are a number of kids that arte flocking to the toy store or throwing fits in front of GI Joe action fingers. But have we missed the great ideas of GI JOE? Especially when the movie preview is accompanied with "American Bad Ass" by Kid Rock.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2007636/a_way_to_have_kids_build_their_own.html
- Let the kids build thier own toys, and ohhh wow. Kids of all ages, 2 to 99 will love this creating of their own toys. Toys, toys, toys, there's always room for toys.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2007628/making_foam_bath_toys_for_kids.html

- For the younger of the new generation. Stop buying expensive shit. We're in a new economic environment. Don't always think you have to buy stuff. As the new ALlstate comercial says, "maybe we have learned what's important." Well, the pieces and creativity of making your own stuff is less expensive than going and buying it. Even at Walmarty prices.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2013804/mattel_is_taken_down_by_the_rightful.html

- Mattel is going down. Mattel got rocked. Mattel, yes you deserve this. For once, the rightful people got their due. Bratz - They were never mattel's to market. Bratz-A stolen idea. Bratz-That's right, those little pouty faced girls were stolen from their creators, and now Mattel has to pay them royalties and more.

Read these articles for the fun and enjoyment of toys! Toys are fun. Toys are the reason most of us work.

TRW - the trip begins

TRW here....So we're racing down the Fl highway. Making great time, hitting the booster and loving life. Passing the cars like it's nothing, and watching the fog roll in. You just have to stop and take a gander at the beauty that is the early morning fog. Wow! The fog builds and builds and builds and then just can't help itself and it spill out over the road, and the sun catches all of the beautiful sparkles of the dew....is there anything better? Why of course there is. fuck why not? But, I'm just saying this is great! And if you're not here right now, right at this moment then you'd miss this.

Who cares what's going on with the job, the kids, the anything - just sit back, sip your coffee and watch the fog roll onto the highway as you barell into it. As the big trucks fly into it, you can see the air current s suck into the fog like a divit in a donut. Donut....are you serious? That damn dunkin donuts! I'll get into that damn place later!

Well just getting on 275....and the trip begins!

TRW posts--Chad

Ok, folks....my loyal few readers.

The TRW posts are slowly coming in. As soon as I get the e-mails, I put them on the Blog. I've received a few, but they're hard to piece together. Alot of them are jumbled up...like pieces of thought. He told me to string them together, because damn it I'm the writer and he's not. The only thing I can say is, I'm too busy for that. So, what you will be getting are exact e-mail cut and pastes. This is TRW in full form.

In between the TRW posts, you'll see my writings...please look at them. You never kn ow if I've provided info that just might help you out.

TRW 1st post

OK folks, well here we go. We're traveling the country and hell why not. Chad has allowed me to write to you guys and I'm glad he did. He's a good fellow, and a good writer. Me? Well, I'm just a good bullshiter I guess.

A little bit about the trip - Me and The Kid will head out of the ranch here and head on up north. Final destination seems to be the Rocky Mountains. We're off on a journey, let me correct that, I'm off on a journey of self discovery and, correction of my life path. As for The Kid, well he's not writing this post so I don't know what the hell he's doing. I guess I'll ask him.

He says that he's here because I'm here. See, this si why I don't ask him in depth questions like that. I want to see the US for what it is, and what it isn't. I want to see if my old thoughts and ideas still hold true to the realities of my past, and if my old thoughts are still mine. Maybe I have seen another world and another version of life since I've come back to the States, who knows. That remains to be seen. Maybe this is just a shit hole like I left it, and my entire trip will lead me to the realities I already know. To quote Writer Jackson: We are traveling to see the person we are and already are, we must just be reminded." Well, maybe he's right.

So we go through GA, TN, a little bit of KY, scoot on over to the IL and then truck on into the MO. After all of that, we cross the good old MO into KS, and traverse KS to the great state of CO. After we hit CO, we're Mountain bound.

Well that's the trip, and we're heading out. Should take about 2 days full driving. What's waiting for us? Who the hell knows....

It's not the destination it's the adventure along the way.

The beginning of TRW-Interview

Interview with Thadious Robert Wizner aka TRW

If I'm going to have TRW be a guest blogger, I figure you should know a little obout him. So, here is an interview I held over the phone with TRW. I figured it would be best to keep it raw and uncut, so you would get the real and unadulterated TRW.

Me: Wow, Thad how the hell are you? I haven't heard from you in...

TRW: It's TRW. Chad, you know I never like that name. Why do we have to start like that?

Me: Uh...Sorry. Haven't changed much....

TRW: I'm a completely new person, and a new creation. But, I just don't like that name. It's TRW or Thadious. Period. So, cool 'bout the blog thing?

Me: Definetly. I was wondering if I could interview, and if that interview could be this conversation? I mean if you're

TRW: Cool. That's awesome. They should know somethin' 'bout me right? Let's see...I was born from the fire of a god spitting out the dredge of the world after he cleansed it. I named myself upopn realizing my creation, and stood for all that is perfect.

Me: Seriously.

TRW: Fine Chad. You ask the damn questions then.

Me: OK...sorry. Um, well...let's start with the beginning. Where do you come from? Where were you born? Why should people read this?

TRW: You don't give interviews a lot do you?

Me: No why?

TRW: You're suppose to ask one question at a time. It's ok Chads, I'll work with you on this. I see I'm still teaching you. {A large explosion is heard}

Me: WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!!!

TRW: I don't know. Ok, me huh?

Me: Thadious. That was a huge noise. What the hell was that.

TRW: I don't know chad. I don't really care. Can we continue? Good. It doesn't matter where or how I came about, only that I am. I have created who I am, what I have. People have helped me, raised, loved me - That's all that matters.

Me: Ok, TRW. Come on. Why shoudl these people read this?

TRW: I don't fuckin know. They read it or they don't. They either want to hear what I say, or they don't. Whther a whole bunch of people read this, or a few peopel do really doesn't matter to me.

Me: So why did you want to do this?

TRW: My gut said it was a good idea. Plus, I wanted to talk to you and I knew you needed to be in my life again.Mayb e for you, maybe for me.

Me: O.k, lets go with that. Do you remember when we first met.

TRW:{A very loud grinding sound occurs. TRW yells over it} Jesus fuckin Christ ChadZ. What the fuck? The past is but the past. We are in the present. We live in the now! We create our future.

Me: What the hell was that sound!

TRW: Exactly! Good question. That is happening in the now. Good job.

Me: Well?

TRW: What?

Me: The sound. What the hell was that?

TRW: I don't know. Don't really care.

Me: What? Fine! {The sound of me kicking my chair across the room is heard} What about this kid. Who the hell is he? When did you adopt a kid?

TRW: Ahhhh....The Kid. He's fuckin great. You have to wonder about the youth of today. He's a good kid. He's been around me for about a year or so. We've had some good times.

Me: Where did he come from?

TRW: Do we have to have the birds and the bees talk Chassy?

Me: I mean, is he your...um.....biological child?

TRW: He's my kid...but my genes don't make him up. It'sw nice though, because I don't feel bad the parts of him that he can't do anything about. Liek, I'd feel bad about giving someone my nose. But he was given all that shit pre-me.

Me: So, you're nbot going to tell me anything?

TRW: Nope....that's what the blog is for. To tell a whole bunch opf stuff.

Me: Well, I look forward to reading it.

TRW: Me too. I'll talk to you later.

ME: OK.

Training the Pole Vaulters

Do you know a pole Vaulting enthusiast? Do you pole Vault? Are you a pole vaulter? Do you coach pole vaulting? Are you an assistant coach in pole vaulting? Then these pole vault articles are just for you. The pole Vault is a very unnatural sport to learn. The Pole Vault is the only sport in the track and field world that you have to throw awazyt everything you know, and then start over again.

These are a few links to a few articles that you will find quite valuable to your pole vault and track team, especially the vaulters. I hope it is helpful, and if it is let me know. I have a lot more info stuck in my head, and I'd be happy to help you out.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2007704/how_to_train_someone_to_run_for_the.html

- link on the exact training process of teaching someone how to run in pole vaulting. It's odd, I know. But running as fast as you can into a pad is just not natural to most.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2007688/excersises_to_increase_pole_vaulting.html
- Great excersises that will build up every vaulter. The nice thing is you don't have to get weight room time for these.

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2007662/how_to_teach_the_pole_vault_hold.html
- How do you teach someone how to hold a pole? This is a tried and true method.

An Adventure? Already?

I know I just anounced his arrival back to the states, he's already on the move. Ever since I first met him , TRW is always one the move having some adventure or another. I've never know where he gets his money, and he always just says: "There's so much money out there. Why woory where that stuff is coming from?" Yeah, whatever that means. I get the idea, but I don't know how it would work.

So it turns out that TRW and The Kid are heading west. I don't think they're going there to live, since they have the "Christ Chex Ranch" somewhere in South Florida. The following is the e-mail transmissions that went back and forth:

Me: What do you mean? You just got back? Aren't you going to relax for a bit?

TRW: This is Relaxin' chad. Ever think of changing your name to something that sounds cool?

Me: I mean, why are you heading West.

TRW: I need to see what the Americas have to offer. Been away quite a while. When you're my age, you want to check out the world a bit to see if it's exactly what you thought it was when you were young and bullet proof.

Me: But, you said you were going to be a guest blogger. I already introduced you and everything.

TRW: Welcome to the 21st century Chad. Still don't like the name. No - i still want to do your bloggy thing.

Me: When? When you get back? You know you could buy a laptop and send me stuff as you drive.

TRW: Two steps ahead of you chuck...nahh doesn't fit you...This is why I e-mailed you in the first place. Figured I'd send you various entries from the road off my Itouch or The Kid's Blackberry.

Me: Cool. Speaking of The Kid, want to eleaborate on where he came from. How you adopted a kid. Anything?

TRW:OK, so I'll send you stuff from the road. We're leaving CCR and driving out to CO. We'll be out there for a bit, and then we'll come back. I'll send you various posts....hope you like them (No, I really don't, but it sounds nice. lol lol lol lol Hate those "lol" things, but people use them all the time. I personally prefer that old ha ha ha Ok, next time I e-mail you it will be posts.

Talk to you in a bit - H....Yes. That's what I'll call you.

And that's it. I'll put the posts as is, and maybe a commentary of mine or so. I guess the title of his posts was accurate......meandering misadventures. This should be interesting to read.

BRAND NEW - mISCELANEOUS MISADVENTURES AND MEANDERINGS OF TRW AND THE KID

NEW!! Brand new!!!!!

For the few who are reading this!!! This blog, yes this one, is going to be transformed into the blog of the grand and often curious adventures of Thadious and the Kid. I must introduce you to the Main Characters

Thadious Robert Wizner, also know as TRW - He has lived on the outer edges of reality and literary obscurity for decades, and now has finally been caught up with. After a long stint under the grand tutelage of the Dali Lama and Writer Jackson, he has emerged onto our society with a vengeance for experience. It happens sometimes when you're outside of the country for so long you forget that this type of society could exist in the world. As TRW himself says,"We are the reality of what we have been fighting against for over 200 years. We do not see that we are our own problem because as all humans, we don't like to look in the mirror and realize Buddha was right: You will see your problems in others as long as you have those problems."

So why has he come back to the states? Why has emerged now? Why is he on this obscure Blog...a blog that only 100 people a month arrive at, and Chad believes that 30 of those are him. All of these answers will be answered in a recent interview that I had with Thadious over the phone 2 days ago. A lot of it is obscure and odd, but it's normal Thadious as far as I've always known him. But back to the charachters because this Blog has already ran too long.

The Kid - Because of his age we can only divulge he is an emerging genius of the highest quality with a propensity for laziness in such a way, that it holds onto him like a ravenous tiger in the middle of a drought as it tastes the new blood that drip from your shoulder as it bites down. However his true abilities of math, logic, and order are traits of legendary proportion. He's currently going to high-school but going is a loose word for an existence of mock trying and dodgy acquaintance that he turns into grades that would make the cream of the crop smile and cry about. What his future holds is unknown, but i can bet TRW isn't helping or hindering. The Kid seems to understand, but says that he "really aspires to be the neighbor kid". It's an odd comment for there are no neighbors on the large plot of land that they live on. Which causes me to question:

How did this poor kid come across TRW; maybe TRW sought him out for some sort of obscure protege turned wrong and bad. Who knows! Only The Kid and TRW truly know. An obscure answer appears in the interview, but you can take it how you want to.

Tune in for same blog time, same Blog address for the oddly created advnetures and mishaps of TRW and The Kid.

Bukowski Is the NOW

Why did he write his poetry? Why did he exist? Was he as Thompson said of his attorney, "God's prototype? Was Bukowski a prototype of genius? What is genius, when it is put in hard cold black and white? For it can only be read. Read by whomever reads it, and so man ywant to read Bukowski. Everybody wants to read him out loud. They spend a moment praising him. Then they spend a moment, sometime way longer, oh so much fuckin longer, talking about their time with a man who cared more for the cat that walked over his typewriter than this person who is going to read his poetry. Finally they read it.

They read Bukowski with exuberance. They read him with hope, prosperity, and adoration. But,that was not what Bukowski wrote. He wrote the observations of the time, in prose form of poetry that was not suppose to convey anything but the acts of existence, the toime of "now" that that Poem of Bukowski's spoke of. In hos ability, he didn't point out a thing, and explain it as a significance to something else; he asked us to be there.

BE THERE

That' what bukosoki asks his readers to do. BE There. Be in that one spot, at that one time when that action, that moment, that infinitesimal thought sparked in his brain and he thought what ever he mused upon that one idea, given that one moment. Then, you will move on to the next Bukowski poem, which in turn is another now.

And when Hank read his poetry, it was as a man depicts what happened when he turned the corner on that one day, at that one time, and when he saw what he saw, and heard what he heard, he pondered the thoughts that he did. He has now allowed us into that inner sanctum, and we now move on tot he next time.

Wow! Turns out Hunter S. Thompson was published in playboy. Who knew!!! Here is a great link for anyone wanting know exactly what it was and where to get it. Good job!!! That's the thing with writers, we will be published in any publication that will publish us, but the thing with hunter is that Playboy fits him just as Rolling Stone did. However, all of Thompson's playboy pieces sold better than any other issue of the magazine. Does that mean people were really reading , yes it does.

Shel Silverstein-more than just a kids poet

Why is so hard for people to think of Shel Silverstein as working for playboy? When was playboy so deified? When did showing off your gorgeous naked body become such a horrible thing? Plus, his artistry and comics were hilarious. But oh no!!! He wrote children's poetry, how could he be part of that horrible Playboy...bah! Are you serious. It would probably be a good idea for the your little johnny or suzy to see someone naked to show them that they don't have to be ashamed of their beautiful body. They don't have to be perfect looking to feel good about themselves. Wow, that's crazy talk in our society.

What's really fun is to walk into a library and ask for Shel's "adult" stuff. they look at you lie you just walked off the crazy plane, then they look at you liked you 'd just asked, "Can you tell me where your porn is? "Adult" is the only way to describe it, because it isn't for kids. Anything that isn't for kids is adult. Mature always winds up meaning old people...so I guess I'm still a kid. If you are able or have the opportunity to pick up any of Shel's adult stuff...or especially his plays I strongly recommend it. What a great read Shel Silverstein's stuff truly is.

But, the library is the best place to find all of this stuff if you can get over the old ladies scoffing at you, the old men chuckling, and the younger women moving their children away from you. Incidently, he is the inspiration for the name of this Blog.

A space can mean decapitation

I was driving down the road the other day when I came upon a sign: Stop Ahead. A well meant sign to alert you that you will need to stop just ahead, and you must be careful because of this. I came to a conclusion upon seeing that sign as to how important a space is. A mere tap of the space bar, a small little hesitation of a painter or a sign creator and this is no longer a helpful sign to notify you there's a stop sign. It's now notifying you that you are now entering a scene of a crime. You are now going to be witnessing a decapitation, or what was a decapitation. Because you must STOP! A head! A head is in the road, or on a pike, or sitting on a shelf. Maybe it's a famous head...who knows. But, you are now going to bear witness to A HEAD! AUGH!!

Eggs for breakfast

Why is it that nobody feels bad about eating eggs? I mean they are kids. We are a society that laments and is just fuckin crazy about babies, and little children, and cute little baby animals, and little children and on and on and on; but oh yeah, those poor fuckin chickens. We don't care about these chicks till they become all cute and yellow. Don't want to hurt the cute little yellow things, but as soon as they get older and have white feathers, it's dinner time. What type of people are we? Then if we can get them before they hatch, oh the cry goes out: GET THE BABIES!!! We raid thier shit like we're an angry mob looking for the beast. Get the eggs. Get the eggs. Eggs are good. We need Omelets. We need them hardboiled for salads and deviled eggs. Grab your pitchforks and torches! Take out the chicken young. We will force them to make our delicacies, we are the rulers. Kill the beasts! Kill the beasts!!

Inspiration quote pitch....

As I'm sitting here wandering around my own reality I noticed a small bit of sanity, and decided I really needed to throw it out. But, I'll let it stay for a while. I re-read my last post, and realized I have now set up the ability to put myself into this blog. However, had I ever wanted to do that? I don't know. But looking into the blog, I am all over it. So are we here or are we there? It truly doesn't matter.

But ,my real question that I'd like to ask anyone actually reading this: Would you or anyone you know like to read an inspirations quote ever day? It will only cost you 15 cents a quote. That's less than a cup of coffee. Please contact me at chadrherman@yahoo.com, and I'd be happy to get that started for you. Would you like to be inspired? Would you like to be motivated? Every day I'd be happy to do just that for you!!!

More Hunter S. Thompson quotes, and why not??

As I sit thinking more about hunter, mere minutes after the last blog...i realize maybe he's right. Maybe we need to make the story in order to cover the story. That's possible I suppose. or maybe we have to be the story...Yes, I'll be the story thank-you. So I looked into my world and realized, i am more of a story than most people realize or i do for that matter. Still waiting to sip the coffee, I ponder my existence and toss down some more quotes and dirges by Hunter that I've pilfered from others on the net, that also pilfered from somewhere.

- “Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish — a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow — to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested…Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll.”

- Anybody who thinks that ‘it doesn’t matter who’s President’ has never been Drafted and sent off to fight and die in a vicious, stupid War on the other side of the World — or been beaten and gassed by Police for trespassing on public property — or been hounded by the IRS for purely political reasons — or locked up in the Cook County Jail with a broken nose and no phone access and twelve perverts wanting to stomp your ass in the shower. That is when it matters who is President or Governor or Police Chief. That is when you will wish you had voted.”

Hunter S. thompson quotes

I find my self sitting here at 4:15 in the morning, realizing no one is reading my blog, and noone really cares what the hell I say. I'm oddly ok with that, and I await the sun, the blue sky, and the inevitable bright blazing sun. When it comes up, I'm going to brew a cup of good coffee, put some milk and whyskey into it, and write till I'm done writing. Upon thinking of this, I thought of Hunter S. Thompson. He'd gone out, seen the world...seen what there was to be seen. Lived it, loved it, and took himself out when it got weird enough. So I add a few Hunter S. Thompson quotes:

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

No one holds command over me. No man. No god. No Prince. What is a claim of age for ones who are immortal? What is a claim of power for ones who defy death? Call your damnable hunt. We shall see whom I drag screaming to hell with me.

So we shall let the reader answer this question for himself: Who is the happier man, he who has braved the storm of life and lived, or he who has stayed securely on shore and merely existed?

A cap of good acid costs five dollars and for that you can hear the Universal Symphony with God singing solo and the Holy Ghost on drums.

the beginning?

It's only in the beginning of a truly and utterly true detox that you fully realize what you're about to do. Because it's only at that moment that you can think. I'm not talking pondering whther or not you should do that. I'm not talking about deciding if it's a good idea or not. If you're like any good junkie, you've already done all of these things or you wouldn't be here right now. So at this moment of clarity, this precipice of reality, you have the fine and unnerving oportunity to look out at the horizon. It seems that whatever deity or higher power you believe in, even if it's the all mighty questioning testtube of science, has bent down to allow you this one moment. This one moment to look out upon this great valley that is your life and your existence and ponder why you need to go through this detox. Why this is all necessary. What lead to these times and items. What is it that you were doing when you did the things you did, to borrow from an old "Lil Audrey" song. Were you conscious? Were you in the reality you thought you were in? Were you the person youthought you were; and after this detox, will you look back and be surprised that that person existed? Or will you look back and think it is all for naught? That's the hardest question of the bunch...is this detox going to do something and is it worth it? But any one who has been in this position knows that's not a question to ponder long. Before you know it, you'll bnreak out of your nailed sdhuity room, and be riught in the middle of the junk again. That question can't be asked. So you poonder the others, trying to push that l;ast question further and further out of your mind.

Almost without knowing, almost without seeing, almost without perception; you find yourself telling everyone this is what you're going to do; and it's almost like a pack you're making. But you know these faustian words that they grumble out, no matter how coherent and elequent they are, should not be said to you in your state. These words are the words that will ring out to you in the middle of the cold night sweats. these are the words that will haunt you for the next days....oh yeah, they mean well. But they have no fuckin idea how those words will get twisted up and misconstrued in your addict soaked mind. So you put them aside and try to not not think of them, but you can't help it, you want more. The sadistic side of a pre-detox person is not one to stop themselves from doing this. So they ask for more.

Then you know, you know that you'll be yelling, screraming, and wanting like you've never wanted before. You'll scream out in pain, anguish, fear, and desperation. Why won't anyone help you? Because you've already told them not to. You said you could handle this. Thsi fear of what is to come makes you shake as you get ready to do what you must. You wake up and it all hits you. You're really going to do this. You're really goiing to stop. You're really going to do this for the betterment of you. You're...fuck that, this is going to suck. And onkly at the moment before jumping off the cliff and thinking you're an eagle, do you ever realize the possibility that you might not be an eagle. But, your feet have already left the ground, so you flap and hope for the best.

Walking Across pinellas County VII

So there I was....stranded, a dead phone, a long way from home, and no way to get a hold of my friend who's going to get me a ride. The adventure continues, and it was looking more and more like a lot more rain...and a lot more adventure.

I continued to walk and going North West. I arrived across the street of Meadow Lawn Middle school (6050 16th Street N St Petersburg, FL) where there was a beauty school. It always amazes me the lack of want and effort people put forth to help our fellow man anymore. I walked into a Beauty school across the street of Meadowlawn Middle right there on 16th street, and I politely asked if I could use their phone to call my friend. Let me remind you that I was wearing a suit when I walked into this establishment.

When I walked in there was a lot of people doing hair, and it was nice to see that everyone were being so creative. As stood in the doorway of the hairstylist location, they all just looked at me, and went back to their hair. Even the customer's friends didn't want anything to do with me. the director finally walked in and I asked her if I could use her phone.

After 5 minutes standing in the cold ac and being gawked at by the customer and non-customers, the lady in a very nasty tone told me that I was not going to use her phone. Not that I was not allowed but "You're not going to use the phone." I knew that I wasn't allowed, but that's rude.

I walked next 7 blocks asking various people if I could use their phone and routinely rec'd a no answer. A limo driver, a insurance broker, a nice lady in a suit, and even a older man in a pick up truck....all of them said no. People along the road, men with kids, women with husbands out for a stroll all leery about letting this guy with a suit use their phone for 2 seconds.

I told every one: I'm walking to Dunedin, a known 30 miles, and I need to call my friend to let her know where I am. Can I please your phone. The answers were as varied as the people, but all no!!!

So, I walked on.......

Walking Across pinellas County VI

Somebody? No...something.

But before we get into that, we have to cover a few items. I knew there might be a problem with a ride so I knew I needed to charge my phone to the utmost. I can get a good 2 days on one charge. My phone was charged completely, and I left the house. I made my first phone call at 10am, and all battery life was well. By the time I got to the Lyceum, a full 15 minutes later - battery was still full.

I got to the house a mere 2 minutes after I arrived at the Lyceum. It is a known fact in the spirit world culture that in order for a spirit to manifest it needs energy to do this. Me? I'd love to say paranormal phenomenon is new to me, but It isn't. It's a pretty normal thing in my world and always has been. From the moment I can remember, I have seen weird things and weird things have happened to me.

Back tot he hand. I felt someone looking at me, and then I felt the hand. There was no one there and when I was freezing cold, but I'm in the summer of Florida where it's 90 degrees and the rain is pouring down with humidity. The freezing feeling went away, and then I was alone. I opened up my phone, and the battery was dead. I quickly wrote down my friends number on some court paperwork and the phone was gone.

Now I'm in downtown St. Petersburg, no phone, no way for my friend to get a hold of me after her appointment and I'm stuck 30 miles away from home. ......

Walking Across pinellas County V

I spun around the Lyceum and walked down 5th ave a bit. Suddenly the clouds opened up, and I didn't know it at the time, rain was going to be more and more a part of my life. I saw an older house that was vacant and for rent that had a porch. I ran up onto the porch, and tried to stay dry.

As I stood watching the rain pour down in sheets, I couldn't help but think pof Thoreau. Since Emerson was previously on my mind a block ago, Thoreau was the logical next person. Thoreau was Emerson's student of Transcendetalism, and then went onto writing the bible of meditation and transcendentalsim - Walden. To understand Thoreau's writing and his ideas better please read: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1456806/a_further_understanding_of_thoreaus.html?cat=4

At this same time I felt a hand on my shoulder....

Walking Across pinellas County IV

I continued my way around the lake, and across the street to the famous Lyceum. A lyceum was where people would come and listen to people talk back in the day. Where we have TV and movies, they had people to speak. It was not unnatural for people to show up a Lyceum and listen to the great orators of the day for hours. In fact, there is a story about Pres. Lincoln and the Gentleman he was running against actually talked for 4 hours with a break for dinner at 6:00pm. this type of listening ability is almost unheard of today.

After seeing the lyceum, my mind began to wonder to Ralph Waldo Emerson and Transcendentalism. Ralph Waldo Emerson went on a speaking tour through out the US, and it is rumored he made it down to St. Petersburg in the mid 1800's. I sat looking at the Lyceum in front of me and Mirror Lake behind me, and it put everything into a surreal mood. Can we really imagine someone as important as Emerson entertaining 1000 people as he spoke about the wonders of transcendentalism? I don't think we can.

For more info on Transcendentalism see: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1437888/lessons_ontranscendentalism.html

Walking Across Pinellas County III

Mirror Lake use to be the main center of St. Persburg, Fl. There use to be movies, shows, and all sorts of grand things happening here. Now, it is a haven for mosquito and the homeless.

As I began my trek, I crossed the street and began walking around Mirror lake. I knew if I continued to go North West, I'd be continually going the right way. As he circled the lake, I could help but notice perfect harmony right there on Mirror Lake in St. Petersburg, Fl.

A gentleman was relaxing int he grass, and it was obvious he was sitting in his front yard, and his house of boxes and blankets were behind him. I greeted him as I walked, and he made no acknowledgment of my existence. I can't say I blame him since many of the St. Petersburg residence do not enjoy his style of living. Many people have tried to stop this type of actions, so him not being receptive was not surprising. But his friend was surprising - A beautiful white crane.

The white crane was hunting in the lake, and walked up to him. the gentleman was holding a gingham umbrella and the crane came up to the umbrella and pecked at it. As he did this,. the man seemed to know what was needed. he reached down and tossed a lizard on the ground. I don't know where he got it, or if they were alive or not, but this crane walked over and ate it. Two people living in the wild, and helping each other out in the middle of St. petersburg, Fl.

I couldn't help but smile as the wind blew, and the drops fell from the sky.

Walking across Pinellas County II

The walk began at 545 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, fl. This is the pinellas county court house, where I had to be in order to plea a case on weird crazy charges that had nothing to do with me. Upon walking out I rang my good friend for a ride home.

Her response was that she wouldn't be able to get a car till Noon, since she had a doctor's appointment. This was fine and understandable, and the small walk I had in mind would do me good. My assumed walking route would be a few miles till my friend could get out of her appointment, and it would be nice to take the glorious fresh air, and the sites of downtown St. Petersburg, Fl.

Ahhh...down town St. Petersburg Fl. The place where the first passenger plane was flown, the meeting place of the rich and famous and snow bird alike in the 20's. The people who called St. Pete a haven is a who's who of famous and not-so famous people. Some came to St. Petersburg, fl for the oranges, some for the sun, and others for the ambiance of the day. St. Petersburg was a hustling bustling hub of activity in the day, now it still hustles and bustles; but not full of tourists and the rich. like most of the world, the rich get bored easily and they are off to another part of the world. And the tourists, they're still around; they just busy themselves elsewhere most of the time, or close themselves up in the a/c.

The first steps were trekked past the monumental and historic....St. petersburg, Mirror Lake.....

Walking across Pinellas County I

This is the first post about an epic walk. A Walk across Pinellas county that many would say is insane, and would say just shouldn't have been done. Actually this walk could be something that anyone and everyone should do. The distance is phenomenal to some, and not much to others.

I propose that this walk was not just an average jaunt, but a walk into my own inner history. With the thoughts and knowledge that I gained from this, I hope that you yourself will take something from this and see that there are lessons, ideas, and people to meet that are beyond out own borders and bubbles.

This walk through pinellas caused me to push myself out of my comfort zone, if I ever had one. I had on a 3 piece suit - black suit jacket, black suit pants, white button down shirt, black and blue tie, torn socks, and dilapidated shoes. This is not the walking gear that I was wanting in any way shape or form.

I had on me a pen, a stack of papers, sunglasses (never worn), a dead cell phone, my wallet with no money, and 7 mints.

Summer reading for us all

In the summer there are dozens of students that have summer reading. Oh the dreaded summer reading. Most students look at summer reading as hell; yet most agree that it was good when they were teenagers. Most of this summer reading is geared to a grade level, or a specific kind of book that the English department decided should be read and should be read outside of class. This kind of summer reading, will give you assignments and all sorts of nonsense.

I propose a summer reading all kids need to have. A group of summer reading books that help the students find themselves, see the world, as well as teaching some good morals and values. This is what summer reading should be about, not some nonsense novel that doesn't help you in any way except make you have enough knowledge to pass a test.

Please got to this link that point out a few book that will develop every student (aren't we all students of life)with their life.

How to write lesson plans

It has been said that teaching is easy, but writing lesson plans are hard. Is this true? Well to quote one teacher," To write a lesson plan all you have to do is outline everything you're going to do in every minute of the class." Doesn't leave much for spontaneity does it?

Well, I propose that lesson plan writing can and should be easy. But what if lesson plan writing isn't what you need. Lesson plan writing is always what you need, you just don't realize it. You don't need to be a teacher to write lesson plans. If you are going to teach someone something, tell them something, or even just create a way for someone to understand something better. You better have something written down, or at least some notes or it's going to sound something like this:

First you do A. Then you do B. After B, you have to check C. Oh, wait, that's right you need to also look at G,H,I. But, A is the best thing to do first. If you are confused by this little statement, this is what your student has just heard...because they don't know anything of what you're talking about and those "important" ideas might have well as been A, B, C.

This article is to help everyone write lesson plans better:

What July 4th is all about...and why not?

What is July 4th? In dependence day! Independence from what? England, of course. But way back in 1776, what happened on July 4th? Some rich white men signed a document that was written by a no name, lesser known gentleman, and then they put the document into the mail. this is equal to a group of Beverly Hills rich getting around to decided they are going to write a letter, and then 200 years latter everyone celebrates them doing this.

This day was not that big of a dela, the real power of the day is what it symbolicly meant. Remember, by wriuting that Declaration - these men commited treason against their country. that type of pride, is something that is just phenomenal! Let's remember that!

Bullet Trains and Education Reform

Is it possible to reform education and create a Nation wide Bullet Train system? Is is possible to actually make our kids competititve int he international market, while at the same time solving the unemployment, uneducation problem?

It's been proven that the less education, the more crime. The more crime, the less safe anyone feels. The obvious answer would be to increase the amount of education, but we can't hopld people in schools like jails. What's the answer? Build a monorail system.

Would you like to go from New York to California in 6 hours, and not have to fight the airport fiasco? Bullet trains work and have worked in Japan to such a degree, there have been limited injury and limited lateness. They pride themselves in never having to wait 30 min for the train. Can this happen in our country? Yes, reform education.

This l;ink will tell you how to do just that:

Everything we learn, we learn for a reason

No matter what it is, no matter how many times you've seen a item being taught, someone instructing you somehow, you will use that piece of information in your life. There's an old saying, when the student is ready the teacher will appear" - If you are being taught something, the teacher has appeared. You are ready to learn this, what are you doing? Why are you going against the natural order of the universe?

When will you need English class

This question of what will we ever need this stuff for, plagues everyone at some point or another. That phrase, when will I ever use this stuff, has traversed my lips once or twice, but no more. I found the answer to this age old, teacher plaguing question - When will I ever need this stuff. Through a didactic story, we all see why these things we learn is important, and why we might want to learn even more than we do.

The creation recreation of Jay Gatsby

In Fitzgerald's famous novel The Great Gatsby; Gatsby, or the man who goes by the personna that is known as Gatsby, kills off pieces of himself, so that others can prosper. Jay Gatsby is very much like a pruner of his souls. Fitzgerald did something wonderful with The Great Gatsby, he created a mythical creature that walks, talks, and transfroms right before your eyes. James Gatz/James Gatsby/Jay Gatsby three disctinly different people, and each one created to such an extent that anything that was or will be does not matter.

Writer Jackson- the Legend II

With all of the people I'd talked to, and all the people I thought knew so much saying it was a false myth, and there was no such thing I was getting very discouraged. Till one day in a library, an elderly man said he's heard of the name Writer Jackson.

According to this guy, he claimed to be a retired Clear Channel producer, but he probably was just an average clear channel employee. He stated that a disc jockey in Wisconsin or Minnesota created the persona of Writer Jackson and started the whole myth. He even created the part of the myth that stated he helped Elvis get signed, inspired a few songs, and helped him write his music. This was new to me. The man said he had to leave and left it at that. He told me to look into the Esoteric world, I might find something there.

I looked into the older esoteric groups in the late 60's, early 70's and I ran into a Wisconsin Newspaper dated November 18, 1970 that stated that "Writer Jackson was going to finish his 5 year long advanced higher thinking regime lead by a great Tibetan master." Writer Jackson stated that this man could cleanse us all, but we must want to be cleansed. And most of us, do not want the cleanness. He walks out of this place in the hills of Tibet, there's no mention of him before and no mention of him after.

I was reading Ken Keesey's memoirs, and he comment s about the band the grateful dead, but there is a moment when a man talks to him by the name. W. Jackson. I'd read that before, but it left my sights. Is it possible that the inventor of the psychedelic acid movement of the late 60's and early 70's actually knew Writer Jackson, and Writer Jackson in considered an esoteric master. But there is no more said.

I ran into a young man who had just spoke with Geffen from Geffen records, and he said that when he walked in, there was an older man in a long grey trench coat, a grey hat, and it was tipped very far. The end were slightly tattered, but his clothes didn't seem the wear. He was called in, but he never left the building. The man I had met, stated that his brother was waiting for him out front and never saw a man with anything close to that description come out

After talking too a great number of people and a lot of research, I mean a lot. We're talking going into old diaries of the right and famous, that are now sitting in clean rooms.

Here's the story

Writer Jackson - The Legend

When I was a child I lived in Los Angeles, CA. We lived near the Hollywood Strip and my mother worked at an expensive Italian car dealership in Santa Monica. The Alfa Romeo dealership was on the corner of Wilshire and....but that's where my memory fails me. I only remember there was a bar there at the very corner, and a Spanish restaurant named Tampico Tillie across the street. Where this place is located is unimportant, I just wanted to know where I was.

Often times I would be stuck entertaining my self with crayons and paper in the front "waiting area" of my mom's office. This area is where the customers would wait to cash out, most of the time they'd begin talking to me, and I made a lot of "new" friends; that are all now making millions of dollars making movies or putting out albums.

One day; however, I overheard a young man who I had no idea would be the musical legend he is today, and a stuffy older man who was his agent. (I've decided to leave names out of this because, number 1, I don't want to be a name dropper. This is about Writer Jackson, not these people; and, number 2, I don't want these people's names affiliated with this myth. For some reason this myth bothers a lot of people, and it is assumed that many people might have been killed because of this myth being leaked out.) The two men were talking, and the agent in a louder than their previous whisper voice said,"But he's no Writer Jackson."

No name immediately caught my attention and ear. What a unique and awesome name. The agent grasped his mouth in a look of shock, as if he wasn't suppose to say that. The younger man laughed and almost fell on the floor. After a good laughing, he straightened and said in a very nice English accent,"You're not suppose to say that. Remember? That was a special piece of info. The agent cleared his throat and agreed. Then he looked at me. They quickly waived me away with not so much as a thought.

My 8 year old gears begin grinding. I asked everyone I knew who was interested in music, if they had heard of Writer Jackson. With a name like Writer Jackson, most people would remember something like that. For years I ran into a lot of laughing in my face, and a lot of disappointed head shakes. Btu I knew, there was some sort of truth to this whole thing.

The Good of Wikipedia

Wikipedia is touted as a bad site. Wikipedia is also touted as a site of errors. (In fact you can see a number of these errors on this site). Wikipedia has billed itself as a web-based encyclopedia, but it is a glorified blog-space. However, all that info came from somewhere. That somewhere had to have some sort of info on it. We got it!!

No matter what piece of information you're looking for on Wikipedia, there is a list of references on the bottom. The coolest part, is that these are links to where whoever wrote this section of the Wikipedia Blog, obtained it from some sort of source. All Wikipedia sections have this space at the bottom that is reserved for sources and where you get the info you just pasted up. Most of these sources will have real and legitimate information. Many souirces are actually hosted by Universities and Colleges.

So in the end, Wikipedia, not the best place to find information. The sources at the bottom of a Wikipedia page, is a great source of info.

Wikipedia lesson to all

Wikipedia is considered the greatest thing since sliced bread. However, this opinion is only held by those who do not understand the errors and frequency of problems that Wikipedia has. (see other Wikipedia posts for info on this) Upon teaching English, this was a very hard concept for people to understand. Especially since, for some odd reason whatever you search for on Google, Wikipedia comes up immediately. Since this is the case, many believe ti to be the most pertitient information available. unfortunetly, it is not!

In order to teach my students these things I decided to ask them to do a resport on a few authors. Before hand, I wrote on most of the Autuhor's Wiki-pages that they enjoyed lounging in a tub of waffles and syrup. As part of the report requirements, they had to write down something odd about the Author. It doesn't get much odder than the waffle and tub thing. The number one rule was no Wikipedia info and no plagerism. Half of the people in the classes wrote down some varriation of their author lounging with waffles in a tub.

When I pointed this mere fact to them, they all felt very ashamed, yet learned a valuable lesson.

Wikipedia and the journalists of the World

I just saw this in the Yahoo newspaper, and I thought to myself, "Self, what a great thing to show to people." And so, agreeing with myself, I take upon myself to show as many people as I can.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Irish-student-hoaxes-worlds-apf-15201451.html?.v=1
The above link is a story of a Irish college student who decided to write a "poetic farewell" from a recently deceased French poet in an experiment to see if anyone noticed. No one did! Journalists around the world copied down his quote as real, and it went out into the world as reality.

The entire world used Wikipedia as a source of correct answers, and were: WRONG!!! When I taught English, I raved the problems of Wikipedia: Wikipedia is not checked! Wikipedia is a glorified blog site. Wikipedia is not the answer to your questions. All information on Wikipedia needs to be checked!

Wikipedia - Not the perfect encyclopedia. But obviously, a lot of journalist think so.

How to Take your Dog's Blood Pressure

http://www.gomestic.com/Pets/Taking-Your-Dogs-Blood-Pressure.703461

Your fury faced friend, your dog, is as much a part of the family as most children. Dogs are there for you through think and thin, beating and petting. Dogs try to please you, and understand your faults. The only thing any dog asks you for, is to please take care of them because they are not perfect at taking care of themselves. Back in the day, when dogs were dogs, and the packs were alive - dogs had the ability to help themselves. Now, you are their pack and your dogs need you to help them.

One of these best ways to help your dogs is to take their blood pressure. To answer the question you just asked yourself: You'd take your dog's blood pressure for all the same reasons you'd take yours, your kids', or your uncle Lou who eats too much pasta.

Please click on here for a way to take your dogs blood pressure and help them out!

Millionare gives his all

http://www.authspot.com/Short-Stories/Short-Millionaire-Story-Interviews-of-Change.703477

Wouldn't it be nice if suddenly a millionaire gave everything to change the world. This is kind of what this blog has become, a way to change the world in bits and pieces. This idea of giving is running out of style, and maybe we should begin again. What if someone like Bill Gates gave all of his money to "the people" in a very public out cry of help and emotion? What would happen? What would it be like? That's what this short story is all about.

This short story I wrote is about a very rich man named William Fences, who with tons of money, has never really given anything to anybody. Today, all of that changes! William Fences now has the ability to make a change in a number of people's lives. Does he do it? According to one DJ that was interviewing him, Yes! Is this DJ's story accurate, or is he just going for more publicity?

Read the story here and you be the judge. Enjoy it!
